Two Professions. One Approach.
I've spent over 20 years in healthcare as a Registered Massage Therapist and, more recently, a Registered Acupuncturist. Alongside my clinical career, I've spent over 18 years in income protection.
My second career began with a conversation about protecting my own income. What initially seemed like two very different professions eventually revealed a shared principle: understand the person before recommending a solution.
After multiple car accidents and a Stage III breast cancer diagnosis, I went from practitioner to patient. Having financial protection already in place gave me choices during treatment and recovery.
Those experiences reinforced a purpose I was already pursuing.
Advanced Professional Education
I earned and previously held the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, gaining advanced knowledge in insurance, risk management, and estate planning.
For me, it was never just about the letters after my name. It was about developing the expertise and credibility to better serve the people who place their trust in me.
Why Beyond the Degree Exists
I created Beyond the Degree to help healthcare practitioners continue growing beyond graduation, through new knowledge, tools and techniques, and a better understanding of the financial decisions that support their lives and practices.
